JDF enters the Third Round of the ThundersportGB series in a strong position
The team goes to the third round at Snetterton after solid performances from round two held at Donington Park.
Ben Luxton had a very impressive weekend with pole position, four wins from four starts three fastest laps and improving his own lap record by almost a second.
As a result of an infringement Luxton and McAdam had a three place grid drop, however this did not stop Luxton regaining pole for the Sunday races as a result of the Mega laps system.
A fascinating battle unfolded between the two northern riders as each has a different style of riding, each with different strengths on different parts of the circuit. Luxton improved his own lap record set in October 2013 to an impressive sub 1:41 lap of the track; the first by a 450 rider.
As a result of the strong meeting, Ben reduced the gap to Will Hodgson to ten points and moved into second place in the RRV 450 Championship.
Ryan McAdam showed continuous improvement over the Donington weekend and looks set to improve still further at Snetterton.
McAdam is doubling up riding in the Supertwins races pitting himself against the backbone of this class, the SV650 Suzuki. Ryan showed a battling spirit at the opening round at Brands Hatch in March passing a number of the more powerful machines.
In his first full season on the 125 Aprilia, Henstridge teenager Shane Faber left the Donington track heading up the Nitro newcomers Championship, a series within the overall Aprilia Superteen Challenge Championship.
After a very strong showing at the opening round he had a minor setback at Donington by taking a tumble at the infamous Craner Curves. Despite falling off at over 80 mph two laps from the end of qualifying, he posted a time almost two seconds faster than the next Newcomer. Shane goes into the third round thirty seven points ahead of improving Myles Wasley with Dan Booth in third spot.
